Week of June 12th (Film Festival)

Being part of the Film Festival is actually bigger than I expected. People actually impressed by the production my team made is satisfying  to hear, makes all the hard work we put into the film worth it. There were plenty of good films as well that i was quite impressed to see. A lot of people enjoyed the festival and i hope to see new faces at the next show.

Week of June 5th

This week was off to a slow start, we hesitated on a idea to only develop on one full idea at the middle of the week, which i hope turns out to be worth it. Im putting more emphasis and more ideas into this one last idea, as long as we get our shots in we should be fine by the end of next week.

Week of May 29th

This week was pretty productive we were able to finish our film in a week and a half, proving we can produce faster than our expectations. The team was able to finish editing and establishing all the shots in a week so I'm proud of them. We are about to get ready to pitch an idea to Lansdown in a couple of mins.

May 22

This week my film production team did not execute, we filmed one day out the week with a few shots actually being messed up some fingers came out in several shots. Hopefully we are able to come back this weekend and be able to finish our movie.

Week of May 15th

My film production team settled on an idea after being shot down on one by lansdown, which maybe been a blessing in disguised because we cannot limit our production value as a result of time. Scripts are printed and ready to go so we are set to start filming

May 1st

The film team finished its first film, we took a little longer than expected, we are finishing up with some editing. We should be able to turn it in for by the sixth so we will not be held that back. We plan to shoot during ap testing after school and make our films better than our last.

Week of April 24

Our production team is about done for our film. We were unable to finish before the film festival deadline due to time management. We spent our week editing and mastering our sound and voice overs and fight scenes.

My Week for April 17th

This week our team sped up our production and filmed every day to get back on track and we scored really good scenes and reworked on some. So this team has gotten the rest of our ideas down and we are set on good terms for more film production and we are ready for the up coming weeks and we aren't wasting time.

My week of April 10th

This week my film production team settled that some film we got done was not of use since it did not have a good flow of dialogue so we got set back this week although we did do a scene at my house and it should have come out great especially since we redid a lot of the shots to make sure everything was precise. The team also started a new dialogue  for a psa which is what we will do during ap testing. hopefully we finish by the 17th of april our narrative.

Week of April 3rd

This week my production team and I were able to get into a groove of things and have now started filming. Our ideas took a little long to be put into a script but it should be worth it while we finished filming a scene in 2 hours. It feels good we got a lot of good shots and still need a lot of hammering out to be done but we are on a good roll for now. The team should have a busy upcoming week with filming and getting scenes out the way.

This week of March 27th

This week was an interesting week of braking the ice with team members and really laying out our ideas to one another and establishing common goals. The team established to settle on our first idea of a mockumentary with all of our ideas being set into it. The team is working well with one another constantly pushing for new ideas and have all of our takes on the idea which is showing all of our creativeness on the script. We are 3 quarters done with our script and should start filming next week if we finish our script. We also established our future goals and task which is enticing. My group members are Frankie, Jorge, Edward, Gilberto, with our third period member Eduardo and myself. We still do not have a production name.

What Music Means to Me

Music in general to me is just the best works of art ever. The quality that music has in being an attention grabber is what makes it so great. Music is part of my life and forever will be i cannot imagine a day with out it. I generally like the clever play on words from musical artist and the slow R&B that has been   being produced recently. Its the experiences that music can offer without actually experiencing them, or the hype the music gives me that makes it vital. Literally music will offer what ever you want and need and so powerful it is to the mind and soul that it gives chills allows me to believe that music is so important to me. Music means to me anything that I want it to mean anything that versatile is very vital to me.

Problems & Struggles of a High School Student

High Schools students have it tough at times. There is so much to take in account at times its hard to develop a certain attitude to manage everything at all times. Problems can vary from house holds to  school and sometimes both.  The community that we live in is offering a challenge to High School Students to flourish. For High School students it vital to realize that emotions can get the best of us when we do not know how to deal and cope with ourselves. This can generate problems for the well being of them and others. Its so easy in high school to be afraid to do something early because many of us are not mature enough to react. There is a constant fear within many of us that holds us back or brings us forward into a situation we might not have wanted to be part of. The group of friends people can become part of in high school may take a costly mistake to realize they were not the friends to associate with. The outlets kids have in high school are poor and thats a struggle that we have because we have no resources to give students the outlets.                

The Most Interesting Person In the World

One of the most interesting people that I ever came across, has to be my boss David. I've started working for the local Cafe for about 4 months now. Since my first couple of days working, I realized the capabilities my boss has, and that is he can literally control the whole room, while he is speaking and reminiscing about his experiences.  The stories spark so much interest of his character and i get to learn from his stories, they offer me answers about why his character is a certain way.

My anti- drug

Being part of the schools Track and Field Team is my anti-drug. I am really considerate of being part of the team and watchful of what I intake can effect my performance. Being part of the team takes away time from my day which is great it does not allow me to have time to waste to be getting myself into trouble or into a situation I would later regret. Running in my opinion syncs mind and body thus the reason I further myself from doing anything harmful to my body. The mental aspect of running is so important to me that it can simply bring down my performance for just regretting my actions. My anti-drug has done its job through out high school and it will be a habit that I plan on furthering with my life after high school.

What I Learned from An Inconvenient Truth

The documentary An Inconvenient Truth impacted me to realize what my future may consist of. Its a depressing fact what the world can come to and where it is leading too. The interesting graphs and research that Al Gore displays in his presentation consist of outrageous numbers and evidence this in which brings me to question his credibility and for me to take my own initiative to do my own research. A daunting image from the movie is losing natural resources and the beauty of the world for ever. I plan On traveling in the near future and the documentary has made me feel sad because I may never experience or see what I see in pictures. I see it as my own responsibility to take action and minimize my impact on global warming. The documentary brings several questions into mind. Have we been improving and minimizing our impact on the world? How many years can it take to improve our conditions?
