My Review of The Elephant Man

The movie The Elephant Man is a powerful and touching. I at first was not so pleased with the sight of John Merrick but through out the movie the sight of him became a regular and accepting figure. The attitude of John Merrick influences a movie and the audience speaking for myself, because his way of being is contradicting everything he lives through its just amazing. I don't believe an attitude like John Merricks can ever exist. The scenes through the movie are mind bottling and made me wonder if the way Merrick was treated was humane, yet people described him to be inhumane or an animal. Men like Bytes and the Night Porter quickly I gained sense of hatred for the type of doings the men would do this just being an overall affect from an excellent movie. I feel if the movie has the capability to feel a emotions than the movie has done its job and The Elephant Man did so several times. The movie is an instant classic because it can really have an affect on the viewers and it can do much good to the uprise of Bullying in todays environments.

My Name is John Merrick

Arriving the first day at the hospital and meeting Dr. Treves was an odd occurrence. I had no idea of what to expect and no idea why i was there. Being surrounded by so many people and all eyes of me is only natural to me now but being spoken to in a room alone has made me question my abilities to speak for myself. I was nervous when having a talk with Treves that i was not able to say a single thing nor did want to say anything to him. The main nurse was mean she yelled at me, frightening me making feel as if i was at a show again luckily i was taken into Treves' office. Dr. Treves is man that i am shocked to meet he has gone to see me when i was with Bytes and has asked me to go to the hospital. This i want to know what i have in store for my future and if Dr. treves can help me to be normal like him and every one else, that is all i truly want. Im tired of being looked at tired of being treated as a freak, i am a human just like Dr. Treves. I want to be seen as a person not a Freak. This doctor showcased me in front of other doctors it makes me wonder what i am actually here for. Bytes has done the same thing just in front of a audience paying to see me.  

Welcome to my nightmare

My most memorable nightmare was stirred from watching the movie "Paranormal Activity". I've read before that most dreams deal with real aspects of our daily life. My dream started with me feeling as if i was actually awake and for the life of me i could not get up off my bed or cry for help. I felt a sudden anxiety from not being able to get off my bed and i tried to rouse myself up but nothing would work. I began to hear a deep, scary laugh that only gave me more panic. My hands were free to move and for some reason one dangled off my bed only to be a sudden touch from underneath my bed. I did not want to look and i did not want to look up. I closed my eyes during the dream hoping everything would pass over if i was to either wake up. The last and final scare was when i felt my bed begin to rise and move upwards while the deep laugh was lingering in a distance. i was frightened and worried if everything i was experiencing was not a dream and real life. I was scared. By chance i quickly fell to the floor and opened my eyes after several minutes. Interesting i woke up from the dream got a cup of water turned on a couple of lights to check if anything was misplaced and giving evidence to my experience but nothing was found and i went to bed never experiencing such a thing again.

Compassionate Science

In the era that is surrounded by science and technology, I believe its only right that we use it to make the world a better place and really help those who need help. Many 3rd world countries do not have access to clean water, and the advancement in technology is allowing the people to have an easier access to it. The cure for cancer can one day be found by the striving scientist today, or tools to make surgery or any physicians jobs more precise and efficient in the medical field. Housing in many poor communities to 3rd world countries can benefit from cheaper and easier to set up a new home for the people. The advancements can contribute to many gains in the world from helping a small neighborhood to helping a entire country in need of some form of support. Science can push for many gains in society if its to make life easier or to make the world a safer place. 

The future in 50 years

My predictions for the future run wild with the expectations that the world will be reliable on technology and people will not socialize with each other any more. The future holds the amazing ability of advancement for technology but, i believe that it wont be for the better. i feel the interaction between people will be destroyed in the sense that people will not care to physically care to see each other. i believe that people will actually be cleaner and more educated because, we are having large advancements in society but, technology will over power the capability of the people and seriously create lazier people. I plan on the future being cleaner and much larger with population size swelling to max capacity. i feel the advancement of technology allows for medicine and doctor's practices to be more affective and allow people to live for a longer and healthier time. i truly believe that robots or technology will be capable of many more things in the future doing more basic chores around the house and i think the basic jobs of people will actually transitioned to robots doing simple task.  i believe that technology will run the future in 50 years and do more bad than good.

Review on 'Modern Times"

Modern times is an excellent film with a very strong honest opinion that people live a harsh life. The film has a very futuristic showcase early off which makes the movie interesting even to a viewer of my age, that is always surrounded by technology. the harsh reality that Chaplin perceives in the movie is very realistic with every actor hitting every facial expression making the silent film so much better. The blend of  future, funny, and harsh reality is perfectly done by Chaplin in my opinion. Realizing the conditions that young Chaplin lived in when he was a little boy, really gave the movie a great perception of his life and how times are now. The movie considers the issues of living a hard life and the everyday man working hard to just be satisfied in life by having his love of his life and his dream house.

My Thoughts About Bullying

I've seen bullying numerous of times and its always been a problem to decide if I should do something or not. The times i have seen bullying but never did anything about it makes me regret the moments when i did not take action. Seeing bullying and not doing anything about it is just as bad the person that is doing the bullying. i think we should always stick up for one another and help each other out in our time of need we are together to support one another. I understand a sense of fear takes place when deciding what to do and its tough to make out your plan but at least trying is better than doing nothing at all.

My Favorite Movie

My favorite film has to be the 1979 film Warriors. Its my favorite film because the director captures the hatred of rival gangs and being influenced by the tough New York surrounding. The mild action film gave off the realistic feel to the movie when viewing gangs fighting with one an other. The journey to Coney Island for the Warrior gang is great because the director catches the real tempers of gang members and this influencing their misfortunes. I've seen the movie several times and their is always a new detail that was not noticed the first time around which I enjoyed and the film does not get boring the whole way through their is always a dilemma for the Warriors. The directors plot for the movie does not let the the audience fall to sleep and its realistic it feels that this can actually happen to rival gangs.
